July is almost over! You must be Julying. Temperatures are in the 70s this weekend, but  the activities don’t stop. Here’s what we have planned this weekend around The Lake.

 

Thursday, July 31

-Achilles Wheel Band ~ Concerts in the Park, Gatekeeper’s Museum, Tahoe City

With a variety of folk & blues music, you’re bound to have a great time. These concerts will have something for everyone. From Cheri’s Hand Dipped Ice Cream for the kids, Big Blue BBQ for the hungry and a licensed bar for the grown-ups.

 

 

Friday, August 1

-Tahoe Tennis Classic at Zephyr Cove Tennis Club 

August 1 – 3

The 31st Annual Tahoe Tennis Classic Tournament is Aug. 1-3 at Zephyr Cove Tennis Club. Top doubles teams from across the nation will come to Lake Tahoe to compete in this tournament. Registration is $70 per player for the first event, $30 for the second, and includes a player dinner party on Saturday, a raffle, and a tournament hat and shirt. Each team is guaranteed two matches.

-Music on the Beach at Kings Beach

6 – 8:30

One of Lake Tahoe’s best kept secrets. The free 9-week concert series is in full swing in Kings Beach through August 29.

 

Saturday, August 2

-34th Annual Squaw Mountain Run/Hike

9 a.m.

For the past 32 years, on the first Saturday of August, hundreds runners and hikers have made the annual pilgrimage to the top of Squaw Valley to enjoy a great workout with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and the High Sierra. The course climbs the 3.6 mile mountain run to High Camp where awards, raffle, music, light refreshments and beer are provided.

-Lady Gaga’s artRave – The ARTPOP Ball at the 2014 Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series at Harveys Outdoor Arena

7 p.m.

Due to high demand, Lady Gaga will add six new dates to the North American tour, including a stop at the scenic Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys on Saturday, August 2nd.

Sunday, August 3

-Meet the Music ~ Meet the Musicians, Lake Tahoe Summerfest

Under the mastery of Maestro Joel Revzen, top players from the nations best symphonies gather to create the magic of SummerFest.

-Boston and The Doobie Brothers at the 2014 Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series at Harveys Outdoor Arena

6 p.m.

American rock band favorites Boston and The Doobie Brothers will perform a co-headlining show at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys.
