Start your summer weekend off right by attending the following events. Temperatures will reach the 80s this weekend, so get a healthy dose of dancing, beverages and food, sunshine, Lake Tahoe and SPF.

Thursday, June 26

-Party under the Palapa – Calinete Deck Opening Party

5:30 p.m.

Come to the monthly Tequila Tasting at Kings Beach’s Caliente. It’s ChupaCabra Thursdays and it’s the Annual Rooftop Palapa Bar Opening Party!

 

-Live at Lakeview: Free Summer Concert Series on the Beach

4:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Free music on the beach with local vendors, food vendors, a beer garden and great vibes.

 

Friday, June 27

-Music on the Beach – The Blues Monsters

6 – 8:30 p.m.

Listen and dance to free, live music performances featuring Blues Monsters in Kings Beach. Food will be available and beer, wine, water and soda will be on sale from 6:00-8:30 p.m. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m.

 

 -Heavenly Village Summer Concert Series 

5 – 9 p.m.

Enjoy free concerts in the Heavenly Village all summer long!

 

Saturday, June 28

-Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run

The Western States is the oldest 100 mile trail race. In total, runners climb/crawl more than 18,000 feet and descend 23,000 before they reach the finish line in Auburn, California. If you would like to support the runners, the race begins in the Village at Squaw Valley.

 

-Race the Lake of the Sky – Stand Up Paddle Board

Saturday 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

South Tahoe Standup Paddle and Riviera Paddlesurf present:  Race the Lake of the Sky. Various race’s include short courses, long distance, team relay and the SUP Cross Sprint course. Vendors, food booths, and music throughout the weekend.

 

Sunday, June 29

-Run to Squaw

This 7.9 mile course travels alongside the Truckee River. The trail starts at Tahoe City’s Commons Beach and finishes at the Village at Squaw.
