Weekend Outlook: July 3-7
Welcome to our very special July 4 weekend edition of Weekend Outlook! We hope you all are having a great holiday so far! We can’t possibly encapsulate all the fun stuff going on at The Lake and Truckee in this week’s installment, but here are a few events that caught our eye.
Wednesday
Enjoy the FREE Kings Beach fireworks tonight at 9:30 p.m.! But don’t wait until tonight to get to the beach, the annual North Tahoe Business Association beach party kicks off at 2 p.m. with sandcastle building contests, watermelon eating contests and even a patriotic costume contest. Be there!
Independence Day
At 9:45 p.m. South Shore’s 4th of July Fireworks light off from the skies above Nevada Beach. Voted one of the top fireworks shows in the nation, don’t miss it! You can check it out from the beach or the water.
If you’re on the North Shore, fireworks kick off at 9:30 p.m. from Incline Beach and will be visible from various areas throughout Incline/Crystal Bay. If you don’t have an IVGID beach pass, try heading down the East Shore to get a vantage point, or strap on the headlamp and head up Tunnel Creek Road or out on the Flume Trail for a unique perspective.
Donner Lake’s West End hosts its fireworks show starting at 9:45 p.m.
Friday
If you don’t get enough Jersey Shore in your life, DJ Pauly D is playing Peak Nightclub inside Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. So, have fun with all that.
Don your favorite 80s clothes and head down to the Crystal Bay Club at 9 p.m. to check out 80s cover band Tainted Love and they play all the hits from the decade of decadence. Information on the show and tickets are here.
Saturday
At 9:30 a.m. Incline Village hosts the kids’ bike parade on Highway 28 through downtown. Bring your candy bags!
Starting at 3 p.m. in the Village at Northstar the resort is hosting its annual Beerfest and Bluegrass event, featuring more than 30 local and regional breweries and live bluegrass music, plus activities for kids. Event information is here.
MontBleu Resort Casino hosts standup comedy duo the Wayans Brothers at 9 p.m.! Tickets and show information are here.
Sunday
Starting at 10 a.m. check out the Beth Weber Arts and Crafts Fair in the plaza at Kings Beach. It features more than 30 local and regional artists. Event details are here.
